Ok so this prolly sounds like everyone else's questions, but the experts obviously post here and any help would be appreciated....

I have a 20 gal tank, fully cycled..

it includes:
7 neon tetras
3 juli cory cats
1 lemon tetra
1 black neon tetra
1 serpae tetra
1 dwarf gourami

What else can I add/delete?? I have some questions about having the 3 single different tetras.

I honestly want to fully stock the tank sometime soon, it's been running for almost 3 months.

Any input would be appreciated....

pl dont tell me it has been cycling for that long or u have u just not added fish?

now im a newb too but i do know that tetras are schooling fish so they would need atleast 5 more each....,.
i would pick one type of tetra and add like 8 or 9 and forget the rest of the individual tetras....

do u have a long or high?

first what are your amonia, nitrite and nitrate readings?

second your stock is a good start for the most part

i would suggest picking one of the 3 single tetras you have and increase thier number to 6 over a few weeks

return or trade in the other 2 single tetras

add one more gourami of the same species opposite sex

and 1 more cory of the same species.

make sure you add your new fish in increments b/c each addition will increase the amonia being produced and a mini-cycle will follow.

I agree with raising the number of tetras. I have a pretty weird combo in my tank, but that is because they are all doing well and are not aggressive. I have tetras in with all sorts of gouramis, catfish, and bottom feeders. I like catfish and gouramis because the gouramis are colorful and bring color and life to the tank and the catfish are nice to watch and look at.

well i haven't been cycling for that long, it cycled in about 5 weeks....

I just need to add more fish, i basically didn't because i couldn't figure out what to add......

i definitely like what i hear, any more suggestions please post

Thanks for all the help
