I had scads of fry when my only livebearers were two female platies and a male swordtail. It seemed that the fry were also a bit larger than normal platy babies —*hybrid vigor? Anyway, the parents didn't seem inclined to eat them, so I was taking 30-40 young fish to the pet store every six weeks or so.

I don't like how guppies look, too fake. Platy's have great color, but I like sword tails because they are a bit bigger.

killies are more or less a fish to keep for breeding, but supposedly they are hard to find. just a thought ;)

My vote is for guppies but it seems like most people like the others better. I personally have always loved guppies the most out of the livebearers.. However.. I like swordtails second most.

personaly i like swordtails if you can get your hands on koi swordtails or montezumas i think both are great looking fish i myself owning both will vouch for their beauty.
