My gold fishies need help!!!!

ok i bought a nice 29 gallon tank from walmart. did not know tanks were cheap there. i need to move my two goldfish to the 29 from their 2.5 gallon tank. just in case anyone asks. the fish were originally in a 10 but the tank out of no where had a bad leak. well what should i do set up the 29 gallon tank immedicately and place the fish in there or should i just wait. also what are the best plants out there for my goldfish. since the tank is big enought i want to add live plants instead of plastic. any help and or opinions would be very much appreciated.

I think 2 goldfish would be happier in an uncycled 29 gallon than in the 2.5

Just keep on top of the water quality until the tank cycles. This sounds like a job for Bio-Spira to me.

dont mean to sound like an idiot but what does bio-spira do?
im not a big fan for chemicals.

Bio Spira is not a chemical. It's a package of the actual bacteria found in FW biofilters. It's currently the only product that contains all three bacteria.

Can you use your 10G filter on the 29G in conjunction wtih the new filter for a while just to help your 29G get established? I guess thats if the old filter didn't dry out yet?

absolutly, a little biofiltration is better than none, and it will help the tank to establish faster.
