Hiya all,
got a major disater awaiting to happen. Finally after what seemed like an endless waiting period I finally got my 36"x12"x12" tank up and running,turning on the lights for the first time, my beaming smile turned to a sour frown, not happy with the end results. for a start the aquacaping didnt happen I would have been better off just throwing everything up in the air and making it arrange itself.:mad2:
Due to thinking that I'd be able to achive a planted tank I invested in a substrate big no no expecially with white sand (sand now looks speckled) i've also added a C02 canister last night but that hasn't kicked in yet but these issues are not my No.1 concern at the moment my major problem is the plants have only been in the tank for two days and they seem to be wilting fast. Leaves are browning around the edges(Amazon Sword), or look like their water log ( Java fern) whats happening? the only plants that have not been affected is the Ricca and most of the hair grasses. Was aiming for an Amazon set-up but now looking to ditch all the plants and just use nothing but rocks which then changes what fish I was to finally introduce to the tank.
