I know, I know... this question is kinda screwy. But I have a 29 gallon tank, and am in the process of possibly getting a 72 gallon bowfront. I'm wondering what are the most aggressive fish that I could get for each tank, so I guess your responses are going to have to be a kind of "well, for the 29 gallon... and for the 72 gallon... " deal.

Past history:
I've had piranha before, but it frustrates me how skiddish they are. I do like watching the predatory fish hunt the other fish. I don't like watching the prey suffer. After having a bichir, I really like prehistoric fish, but I like more aggression during feeding. And in the 72 gallon, I want to create a tank that has both terrestrial and water elements, if that's at all possible.

Alright. I'm on the end of the firing line. Shoot!

Can I feed the tetras live fish or shrimp for their primary source of food?

Would a wolf fish fit in a 72 bowfront?

(and aren't wolf fish marine?)

Might I suggest you setup the 29 gallon as a feeder fish breeding tank and the 72 gallon as the preditor tank. That way you know they quality of the feeders and can make sure the feeders are fed a good diet to be passed on to the preditor.
