I'm planning on using DIY CO2 using Champagne Yeast. I have a Eheim Aquaball and Im planning on attaching the CO2 air line into the top of the aquaball where the air diffuser is then use a rubber elbow connection where the water is blown out and attach that to a pvc pipe that will flow the water/CO2 mixture down to the bottom of the tank. Im hoping the impeller and the time the co2 is spent travelling through the pvc would be enough to make it disolve into the water. What are your thoughts on that?

Also, what do you think of this product as an alternative?

That is what I use (Red Sea). It has the check valve built in so you don't have to worry about back siphoning. I"m not sure if its any better than other products. It seems to do the job though.
