Never posted before but could do with some advice. I have a bristlnose cafish that, well..........seems to change colour! During the day he's a great light/dark mottled brown colour but at night with lights off, he goes a peculiar shade of pink mottle. My water parameters are fine and none of my other fish (Harlequins, guppys, shrimp and corys) bother him. He seems to be feeding ok and there's no outward strange behaviour from him. Just wandered if any one else had any ideas.

Cheers.

Pretty common. Bristlenose change color to match their background environment. Most of mine were very pale when first introduced, but darkened to nearly black, matching the mopani wood I used. the only excpetions were the marbled ones (reddish/orange splashes on a darker brown, with bright yellow dots), and they would change between brighter and paler depending on where they were in the tank. No worries!

Thanx for that. He changed again since my last post and thought I ws going mad in the good old English weather! :hang:
