i have a 30g and i want a pair or just one aggressive american cichlid what would u reccomend? i was thinking Jack demsey him alone or Maybe some firemouths please what american cichlid could i keep in a 30g

I don't know about any small american cichlids, but i do know that Malawi (african) cichlids go well in those tanks and you can get some not so aggressive ones. They will still be territorial but not that bad, I would get a Dwarf Cockatoo Cichlid not only are they extremely pretty but only get maybe 3-4 inches and would do fine in a 30 gallon.

Tigar Oscars

2 Tigar Oscars are ok with a glass sucker (pleco) just make sure u get a good under gravel filter with amed power head and a canister filter. you should be ok use aqua-sol for desease prevention and scale healing at every water change.

:mad2: Please, please, please DO NOT take this advice. A 30g is not suited for just one of those fish, much less all 3!!!! IMO when oscars are full grown they require at least a 110g tank. Common plecos can get anywhere from 18"+ and are HUGE waste producers, oscars are also notoriously messy fish. So unless you've got room/money/time for a very large tank with at LEAST double filtration, I wouldn't take this advice.

Just my $.02.
