What size tank do you have? You should not get a fish just for snail control without not knowing if they will be compatible, the size they grow, etc. Yes, botia species of loaches are known for eating snails but they can't just be put in any tank... loaches do best in groups of at least 3 and clowns need to be in a 55 gallon tank or larger.

Instead of using chemicals, you could try something simple like putting in a piece of lettuce at night and take it out before the lights the come on in the morning with the snails still on it. You may have to do this a few times but it should help. Also, cut back on your feedings and that will decrease your snail population. Finally, those snails may be malaysian trumpet snails which do not eat plants and actually stir up the substrate and aren't a bad addition to a tank.

If you do decide to go with a fish, really research it first and make sure it will work for them as well as for you!!
