Amen, brother.
Never been in the service myself(heart murmur) but have a lot of relatives and friends that are/were. Nothing but respect for our men/women in uniform!

well I'm Canadian, but I like what I see in the U.S. and the army. Here in Canada I could only wish that our army was more active.

I live near the border so I get 2 Canadian channels. I don't mean for this to be rude or anything, but I always thought it was kind of funny that all the different services in the US have their own commericals, and in Canada they have one commercial for all of them.

I think he is refering to the fact that the Army, Marines, Navy, etc. each have their own unique commercials on TV and radio whereas the Canadians only advertise as more a generic military.

well I'm Canadian, but I like what I see in the U.S. and the army. Here in Canada I could only wish that our army was more active.Well, the Canucks are still in Afghanistan as a part of NATO's ISAF, and for the better part of 2 years they were the force ensuring security of the capital (Kabul). They did an awesome job, and are still doing it (they've been hard at work since late 2003). They took this over from Dutch Mil, which had the responsibility soon after the Taliban fell. When I left that area about that timeframe there were 76 countries assisting in the stabilization effort.

I heard it was quite good. A Canadian Forces friend of mine (Major type, Cormorant pilot) got to fly Alex Lifeson into Toronto while this was being arranged.
I love flying around the Marines and Army. It's great to get "re-blued" by having gung-ho, motivated people on board.
