Heyya folks. I'm having some problems with my SeaClone 100. I had it set up for a few weeks, then decided to recycle and replace the arogonite with sand. Before, it skimmed just fine, with plenty of froth. Now, I can barely get anything. I suppose that there probably isn't as much detrius and such as before, but my nitrites are sky high. Any suggestions? I have it set to lots of small bubbles.

If your tank was already cycled before, than you were having Nitrates which the skimmer will help reduce in the form of excess waste through nitrification. Since you are re starting the process there isnt enough waste to skim yet as a skimmer will do little for Nitrites. It should pick up in time but hopefully not as much as it did before as a result of your DSB.

Seaclones...
They work to well without some serious modifications which typically end up breaking it. I reccomend getting a different skimmer. Check out reefcentral.com. Do a search for seaclone, you will get a few thousand posts on how bad they are.
