any at all, behavural, apperance, becouse i wanna get my angle a partner but dont wanna go out and burn like 40 bucks on fish just to see which one is a girl and a boy?

"venting" is the only reliable means to sex angels which are not breeding .. basically, you examine the proportionate size of the two openings near the anal fin. The opening closest to the anal fin is the vent ... in males the vent is roughly the same size as the anus and in females the vent looks larger than the anus. also, and in general, males have pointed genital papillae to facilitate the deposition of sperm over the eggs, and the female ovipositors are broad and flattened to facilitate egg laying.
naturally there are species specific variations to this rule and you need to look at a lot of fish to become 'conversant' in the "art".

Sexing Angels
Really the only way is to get real close to one of your angels that you know well and trust. Then you have to teach that angel some sort of appropriate hand signals to communicate to you the gender of the subject fish. This has never been done successfully yet but don't give up! The other alternative is to put half a dozen or so together and let them figure it out. They are very capable of the task.

even if you find a male and female..that doesn't mean they 'll make a spawning pair.
What i did was actually go and get angels..and let nature take it's course.
In my case, as luck would have it, I had two marbled Koi which happened to like each other enough to make a pair..
so now I had to buy a larger tank and move the 5 out of it to the new 75.
my luck I'l get another pair out of that..sheesh...
my wife is gonna kill me if I have to get another tank...LOL

that's what i did..got 8 and a pair formed..tho it looks like ther might possibly be another pair forming..LOL

I started with 8 angels and within a month of being in the 150G i had 3 pairs that have been spawning about every two weeks. Now i need something to do with about 500 little angels.
