Now Ive had a small killifish tank set up with some java moss and a few dwarf lillies...its a 5.5g with a few ghost shrimp for a clean up crew. Its been set up for about 4mths now and I need someway to get rid of diatoms. They are driving me crazy. Wiping works for about 2 days then they are right back. I have 2.5wpg. And i know that diatoms are produced by silicates in the water, but what do i do...i was thinking about maybe phos-guard (ive used it for high phosphates, and it says that it will work for silicates also.) Its driving me up the wall :thud:

Immature tanks tend to have diatoms. They will decrease and eventually disappear as the tank matures. Keep cleaning it up and let the bio-colony and plant mass develop and that should take care of the problem.
