I have three African Chillids in a 30g tank. I don't know what kind they are, they were all labled assorted African chillids in the same tank. They were all fine for a long time and now two are picking on the third. Why are they doing this? What can I do to help stop it? They are all under two inches right now.

CICHLIDS (sick-lids)
The aggressive behavior you are witnessing is what cichlids do. They are aggressive fish and always will be. I'd read up on cichlids if I were you..learn as much as you can. You can start in the cichlid forum by reading as many threads as you can or simply do a search for african cichlids.

There are a few websites you should read through, as well.

http://www.cichlids.com/

http://www.malawicichlidhomepage.com/index.html

http://fish.mongabay.com/cichlids.htm

http://www.riftlakes.com/

Thanks! Is there a web page or something that would help me identify the type of African cichlids I have? They were just listed as assorted African cichlids.
