So I just got my new tank and I found the perfect piece of wood to go in it! Please tell me what you think.

Now I'll I have to do is finish the stand, get my Flourite, get my plants and start cycling!!(Ps I might have a lot of questions in the near future, thanks again for all the help! THIS SITE ROCKS!!)

Nice piede of wood. I have a similar looking piece (color an texture, not shape) and those color become awesome underwater.

Good luck and keep us posted as you progress.

TIP: to sink the wood, try attaching it to a piece of glass. I always drill my wood in a out of sight zone and use nylon strings to tie to a piece of glass. It's a heavy material and will help you keep the wood in its place

I don't know if that's grapevine driftwood, or just grape root driftwood. They could be two different things, I don't know. Although, it looks a lot like what I know is grapevine wood. Anyway, just in case, I've read before that this type of wood is meant for terrariums or for reptiles, and as such will rot when fully submersed over a period of time. Again, I'm not sure if that's the case here, but figured I'd throw that out there. It is nice piece of wood, though. But you might wanna look into it. If it's not grapevine, then no worries.

Yeah it's a whole lot more solid than grape vine and it's not brittle at all like a grape vine. This thing is a hunk of wood and pretty heavy. The guy at the LFS said it was grape root, and they don't sell anything but fish. So I hope it's good to go.
Thanks for the compliments! :)
