Last night I was moving a desk in my livingroom and under it I found some fish water in 1 gallon bottles. I did have a tank that needed to be topped off, so I took the water and poured it in my 40g Amazon Biotope. The water may have only been, oh, say...8? months old. The next day I came home at about 3:45 and turned on the light to my tank and it was completely clouded. The filter media was about 2 weeks old, so that couldn't have been the cause. Could it be the old fish water I put in?
Should I add in a chemical to make it go away? Will it harm the fish? Any suggestions on what to do next/comments will be appreciated.
