i bought a male malawi tonight he is a firetail and is wild caught. its also called stuartgranti ngara anyone else have these? Just put him in my 55 he is swiming all around.

Im going to get 4 females as soon as i get the tank cycled. I got some cichlid lake salt and malawi buffer from searchem the guy who sold them to me and also breeds them recomended that i do that. And also wait till it cycles to put the rest of the bio-load in there ( the 4 females). Also added some sponge squeezings in a bag for me to put in the filter to help the cycle. Ill watch the ammonia and the nitrates and nitrites every day real close and do water changes if i gota! i realy like him.

Great fish! That was the first Aulonocara I bred....still one of my favorites! Enjoy! You will love their spawning "dance".
