Have you heard these guys? This link was from the "Desert on My Mind" thread. Listen to some of the sound clips. Impressive renditions of classic Eagles song, all well done and faithful to the original artists.

But... the Eagles are still around! That's like having an obituary for someone who hasn't died yet.

Hardly an obituary...I always like to see local talent do good music justice. I'm sure this isn't the only music this band does.

It's nice to hear something "unplugged" every now and then, and still have it come off well.

A tribute isn't an obituary. It's a bunch of guys who love the music, reproducing some great songs and doing their upmost to keep it faithful to the original.

The Eagles are touring over here in the summer. First time over here in about 10 years. I have tickets, but they cost me about £85 each. (approx US$150) and that is direct from the box office, not even on the black market. At our last theatre gig, we had an audience member came up to us and tell us that his wife had bought him tickets to our show for his birthday because they couldn't afford to go see the real thing in concert in the summer. And he was blown away. He couldn't thank us enough for a great show and said that it was like being at the real thing if he closed his eyes. Not bad value if you consider we charged £10 a ticket for that show.

We get a lot of very cynical people at our shows. Before people hear us there are always comments like "I'm a massive fan of the Eagles. These guys are just going to murder these songs." What people don't appreciate is that us guys in the band are just as big a fans and we won't do the music an injustice purely for this reason. If it doesn't sound good enough or close enough to the original, then it doesn't make it in our live set.

Sorry. Not meaning to rant. But it's something we don't take lightly. So thank you Native American for your encouragement. It's always great to hear comments like that from that side of the pond!
