I just used mine for the first time today on my 55 gallon tank. i can not believe that i did not use one all this time. i just want to thank everyone that recommended this. it is the greatest product that any one can have just hook it up to a sink and you ready to GO!!!!!!!!!.
for all the newbies dont spend money on any other gravel vac just get the python no spill and fill. you will be as happy as me. the directions are even easy for an idiot like me. HEHEHE!!!

I guess im gonna be enjoying my time doing water changes. :sim:

hehehe..... it literally takes an all day job and chops it down to 20 minutes...
wow! think of what it would do to a half hour job! it'd take like 7.5 seconds! :duh:

seriously though I've been looking at getting one of those myself to cut down on how many 5 gallon buckets I need to carry through my living room ;)

How close do you have to be to a sink to use it?? How much does it cost? where did you find it?

I would never have the tanks I have without this Python. I have the 30 foot one and a 24" tube attachment. The hose runs from my kitchen faucet, over the lee wall, up the stairs, and to my son's bedroom and I have about 5' to spare.

I can do a 50% water change in two 75 gallon tanks in about an hour -- if they are not in the same room -- and that includes the filters and light vacuuming. Trimming or planting takes another ½ hour, depending on how much I do.

So, all told -- with the Python -- my regular tank maintenance averages an hour a day over 7 days. That's with 50% changes every 4-5 days on the rainbowfish tanks (7 of them), every 7 days with the other tanks.

I love my Python :)

they come in different lengths and the cost increases with how long you need it to be ;) not sure where to find it though since i haven't seen one around my LFS yet.

You can order them through Big Al's. You can sometimes buy them with bonus length added to them. I bought mine at a Big Al's store, and got 35 feet for the 25 foot price. Perfect for the distance to my sink! 50 feet would have been overkill, and too expensive. :)
