please help

my husband bought a red devil to add to his cichlid tank which 280 gallons. the only fish that are in there is a pectus catfish. 2 jack dempseys. 2 tiger oscars. well the red devil just killed my female osacr and the male is so beaten up. what should i do. what can i do. and can i add another tiger oscar in there now.

i also called the lfs that i bought him from and they dont want him back.

I wouldn't risk adding another oscar if they are being killed and beaten up.

Sorry that they won't take the fish back. I'd probably call them back and tell them that they must take the fish back, that you are a good customer, and that you will shop elsewhere in the future.

A good shop should always be happy to take back a fish if it is not working out immediately.

after i take him out can i add another oscar in there?

Yes you can add another oscar.I had to get rid of my Red Devil too,because of the same circumstances,luckally no one got killed in my case.
