Got my cherry red shrimps today, since they are so tiny - some literally a hair thin, i bought a 10g All-Glass q tank for them to grow some (if i put them in my community tank now, half will become snacks for guppies).
My extra aquaclear 50 filter isnt going to work, even on the lowest flowrate it's creating a whirlwind in the tank with the shrimps floating in circles. Here are my questions:
1) how long can i run a competely filled 10 gallon tank that has 30 cherry red shrimps WITHOUT ANY FILTER, before they run out of oxygen?
2) do cherry red shrimps eat their young? I have a couple mature cherry red(about 1 inch) in my biorb i am thinking about moving to the q tank as well, would they eat the tiny babies?
So right now my living room looks like a fish market, got my 50 gallon in 1 corner, biorb on my dining table, the 10g q tank on the floor, and a rubbermaid bucket with a single guppy healing his damaged tail. :shark:
gaga
ps the 10g all glass tank is very poorly made, makes me glad i went with seaclear instead, on my real tank. Cant even compare the worksmanship.
