Hello all, I have a question. I purchased 50lbs of live rock and added it to my 125 gallon saltwater tank. After a few weeks, tiny air bubbles appeared on the new rock and are starting to spread to the older rock. Parameters are fin except nitrate is a little high. I have a wet dry that I am in the process of removing the bio balls. I also have a 10-15 gallon refuguim. Any suggestions would be great. I will post a pic later.

Pics will help :dive2:

Looks like some algae growth. Not sure if it's bad or not, but it's algae. The air is just trapped in the filaments of the young algae bloom. Nothing to worry about as long as your janitors are trimming it down.

this may be a shot in the dark but it kind of looks like cyrno not really sure from the pics and i'm kind of new at this also almost a year of sw under my belt.but i'm battleing cryno myself and the bubbles sick to that like flys on poo but i've narrowed it down to my lights which seem to be about the same your running.48" with 2x65w day's and 2x65 blues here, didn't want to belive it was the lights has they were only about 3-4 months old when my problem started but as i look at the algea it bevels with the angle of the lights.i'm ordering new lights tomarrow and hopefully that will cure it.but like i said i'm new at this so take it with a grain of salt.
