So i just started my 10gal aquarium

this is all i have done

i pre-washed my bag of flourite and then put it in the tank and leveled it the way i wanted it. When i poured the water in i put something down to stop it from screwing up my gravel but unfortunatley that didn't work so well and it got screwed up. After that i had the filter on and i added some stress coat.

My water was brown all night yesterday then i woke up today and it was pretty clear but my gravel wasn't level, When i went to fix my gavel the whole tank just reverted to its first state of brown and murkey.

I don't know how to fix this problem, should i wait untill it gets clear again and then try to fix it then wait even longer.

or is their a better way

p.s i would really like my gravel to be level

That's typical of flourite. It will go away after gravel vacing or 2.

Agreed. And be careful when rearranging the tank. It's easy to stir it up.

Im guessing that you didnt rinse the flourite enough. I rinsed my flourite enough so that it only caused slight cloudiness which went away in a few hours and disturbing it doesnt cause further cloudiness. You cant over-rinse flourite can you?

The lfs said yes, you can over rinse it, when I asked.
I did the same thing with my flourite, yep is clouded the water something fierce and everytime I rearranged anything another cloud..

The fish come through fine. (At that time I even had rams in the tank!)

You can wash flourite till the cows come home, itl still put up a cloud.
Happened with me,but i didnt wanna take it all out and wash it agian..so left it and it cleared up nicely.
