I have had an albino rainbow shark for 3 months now and had no problem. In the last week it has got very aggressive and has been chasing other fish more than usual. Also in the last week I believe it has killed 2 guppies. Just wondered if anyone had any advice?

Yes most "shark"? with wiskers will eat small fish.
What type of food do you feed the shark.
most fresh water shark are bottom feeder mainly but will eat what ever
you feed it.If it flots sainks little fish.

Try to feed sinking or floting shrimp pellets.
remember fish that are tiniy enuf to fit in the sharks mouth
he may eat. It will do well whith fish that are bigger than a guppy and can
not easaly be swalloed. good luck.
And if you like to feed live fish/guppys it will do fine with that also.

The Rainbow Shark is primarely a herbivore. My rainbow shark feeds mostly on algae and hartz sinking algae wafers. In addition he sometimes eats flakes and shrimp pellets but the majority of his diets is spirulina. I am sorry to say but your shark will just get more and more agressive as he ages. Give him a nice cave to hide in and it will take care of some of the fish chasing. What is your tank size. In my experience giving the shark adequete space does calm down his fish chasing machine instincts.

It didn't actually swallow the guppys but I believe it was the shark that killed them. I later found it biting the dead guppies tail.
