DSB with Triggers??

Hi All
First, I have been reading here for a few days and learned a lot.. thanks!! I just picked up a 60 gal with about 40 lbs of live rock and one tomato clown. My buddy has had the tank for 3 years and it has really wasted away to nothing. Since he has no substrate, I am hoping to go for a sand bed, 15 lbs of LIVE, with the rest just Home Depot variety silica. My question is- I am hoping to go with an aggressive set-up featuring a HumaHuma trigger- would this fish allow the survival of a clean-up crew for the sand bed?? Thanks for any help or suggestions!

ps- what would you do if you were in my position???
 
The Trigger probably wouldn't eat any of the smallest inverts in the sand bad. I'm talking about tiny Pods and perhaps Worms. However, Snails and Crabs are probably not going to make it.

I'm basing this off my experience as I have a Huma in a 125gal with a sand bed. While I've not been able to keep many inverts, at night when I shine a flash light in the tank I do still see activity on and in the sand bed.

Now, is this limited amount of life going to be enough to operate as a clean up crew. probably not. I end up having to skim the major amounts of fish waste on the sand bed when I do water changes using a siphon hose.

I'm sure others with chime in, but this has been my experience.
