I noticed something small move when looking in my aquarium today, and realised it was a fry!

I found four of them, netted them into a breeder for safe keeping and now want to know just what they are? They look to me like cory fry... but I wanted a second, and third opinion. I never saw any eggs.

I have some Corydoras Aeneus and some assorted mollies. Below are the fries.. frys.. fryes? (Click for larger versions)

So what are they.. and what do I do? Thanks!

Don't look like any cory fry I have ever seen. Has to be Molly fry. Cory fry do not swim around a whole lot but the Molly fry would swim all over the tank. The plural of FRY is still FRY. As in "I have 100 fry in my tank."

Cory fry are flatter and wider, so I agree, they must be mollies. There are also no barbels on these.

I have had cory fry. They surprisingly look liek perfect replicas of tiny cories. And those don't look a thing like them. So mollies it is. Plus cories are egg layers and they lay massive amounts of eggs. You couldn't have missed it.

Thanks for all the help!

An update.. they are doing well, swimming around and eating bits of really finely ground flake as I read to feed them elsewhere.

I didn't have a fry nursery, so I put them into a bowl partially submerged at the top of the tank with a filtered siphon, then ran some air tubing with a throttle from my powerhead to the bowl to get a flow of water into it from the main tank, a steady but small flow. Works well, if a bit ungainly.

So... where is a good place to post notices for free fish? :-)
