Tank Size 48in x 18in x 18in 56 uk gallon
Okay here goes. I am going this weekend to obtain hopefuly all equipment needed to get going and start my cycle but am not sure about exactly how to add live rock.
My list of equipment is:
Eheim Canister Filter 2215+
Sea Clone Protein Skimmer (INcludes maxi jet pump)
TRopic Marin Salt 10kg enoiugh for 300 litres
Rena Flow Powerhead 600c
Tetratec Heater 300w
White Flourescent 48in
Red Marine Lab Master KIt
Play Sand
Live Sand
Please if anyone see's anything obvious I do not have please let me know.
Due to cost of all equipment I am only left with enough money for around 5kg live fiji rock.
I am planning to do fishless cycle (as using fish I believe is cruel) with cocktail shrimp but am not sure if I add live rock straight away, and if so will it be ok to add rock during cycle as and when I can afford more to increase my rock to around 20kg. I think this would be ok as I would get lots of mini cycles whilst adding?...I think but would really like any comments or help people may be able to give.
