I have a 31 gallon community tank with 10 neon tetras, 3 red mickey mouse platies (9 now, i discovered 6 fry in there & it looks like they're survivors), 3 dalmation mollies (1 male, 2 females), a pleco, and 2 shrimp.

I'm pretty sure the 2 female mollies are pregnant, but being new to all this (this is my first aquarium), I'm not positive. I've had them about 3 or 4 weeks. The male always seems to be horny and all over the females. Both females are developing fairly large bellies. I understand I should look for a 'gravid spot', but I'm thinking that might be difficult on a dalmation molly, especially since I'm not sure what I'm looking for to start with.

I purchased a 10 gallon aquarium recently in case I decided to try breeding them. On my last water change, I filled my 10 gallon tank with what I removed from my 31 gallon. I'm wondering if I should transfer the 2 female mollies over to my 10 gallon tank for a while and see what happens now?

Any advice on what to do & look for would be helpful. Thanks.
