I was wondering if anyone had any tips on how to add a fish to a tank that is being treated with salt at 2 tsp/gallon.

Its a clown loach that had to be taken today. Both my tanks are being treated and I can't put him in the snail tank.

I figured adding about 2 oz of the tank water every 15 minutes for about 2 hours should be okay but I don't want to stress the guy out by being in the bag that long if I can help it. So I come to you for tips...

well i would use the drip method. take a bucket and fill it about 1/4 way (enough for the little guy to have some moving room) add fish and then put below tank your acclimating him to. take air hose long enough to go from tank to bucket and tie a knot in it loosely. close tank lid not to squash tubing but enough to keep it from falling out. take other end and suck on it until it starts siphoning. tie knot tight enough for the water to drip out into bucket. you might practice this without fish to get the hang of it. wait until bucket is almost full. Fish acclimated. done deal and I didn't even mention pran once ;)

Well thanks for the info but the site went down for me shortly after I asked the question.

So what I did was what I said I'd do but only for an hour and a half.

Little dude is doing fine. I swear he is the smallest loach I've ever seen can't be more than an inch and a half. The LFS had him for at least a month or more in a planted tank so I knew he was clean. He said the loach was miniscule when he got him, never seen one so small. They don't sell any fish out of that tank but I've gotten to know the manager pretty good over the past month and he made the exception for me.
