Wow you have a terrible mix of fish there... what size is the tank?

For some of those fish you need hard alkaline water and for some you need soft more acidic or neutral water. Also some are vegetarian some are not.

How are you going to satisfy all of them?

Its a 180 gal tank i bought it through a classified ad the fish were included
he said he has most of them for over 5 years. as ive been researching im finding that they are a good mix but they do all seem to be healthy and happy except for the green terrors who are nervously guarding there eggs
i have been feeding then cichlid flakes the guy gave me as well as some romain lettuce (the blood parrots like the romain the most )
still need to know about the salt

any advice is helpfull thanks

skip the salt. with such an unfortunate mix of fish you'll do none of them any good with the addition of sodium chloride.

You have fish that need a diffent variety of water paramaters and food needs, if they are doing fine i would skip the salt, it will make it better for africans but not the others, reef salt that is. If you want you can add some freshwater salt like some doc wellfish but kind of worthless, but it says on the box it can help with meds. and help improve gill function. Just skip the salt untill you have fish from the same country.
