Well, when I was a kid we build a model Piper Cub J7 with balsa, paper and dope, but it had a gas powered engine, and we controlled it with handheld guidewires. (Dad's always been a pilot). When I took the controls I immediately nose-dived it into the sun-baked summer dirt--needless to say, I had to do an immaculate repair job, and was NEVER allowed to touch it again. My younger brother flew it with perfection--sigh. :sim:
