Over a period of months some of my Silver Dollars mouths have literally rotted away. I could see their teeth. First I thought that my Silver Dollars had mouth rot, so I treated them with Triple Sulfa. Didn't do anything.
Then one started sitting on the bottom of the tank. The LFS guy said maybe bacterial, so I tried a combination of Melafix and Pimafix. Didn't help.
Next month, next SD sits on the bottom of the tank. I have had to euthanise two Silver Dollars already.
It has been suggested to me that this is a kind of cancer that can't be cured. I have another SD showing signs of this problem. I want to help him. It has been around 2 months since the last SD died!
The water condidtions are all normal and PH sits around 7 -7.4.
Anyone know about what kind of disease this is?
