this is ticking me off... you know the black border that you put on around the top of it that the hood rests on? well i'm getting little drops of water dripping out from between the black thing and the tank. i'm pretty sure its because i added too much water, but its been slowly dripping for a day and still going. i'm getting tired of taking a paper towel to it. this happen to anyone else?

This will happen. The thing to do is to drain the tank so that there is no longer too much water in it. Then, take the paper towel, and lay it behind the tank on the bottom to catch the excess water. The excess water will soon dissipate. Be careful not to overfill your tank!!! I remember when I was a newbie and I poured the water in my filter so that I would not disturb the aquascaping, and I wasn't paying attention and poured a whole gallon of water in the floor!!!! What a mess!!!
oh and also, i notice that my hood doesn't sit flush anymore. the back right corner sticks up a bit

I had this happen to my eclipse 6 gallon. Had to throw it away because I could not fix the leak. It did the same thing
