has anyone else seen these? are they hybrids, a seperate species of tetra or just spawned through selective breeding?
I picked up 6 of these guys and they are some of the most interesting tetras I have come across, but only one of several local fish stores even stocks them.
after extensive searching online, the only real info I can find on them is from websites selling them. here is a link to one of those that has a pic of them:

I have them in a 20 gal with 6 silver tip tetras and two gold gouramis. i havnt noticed any problems for the past month since the hi fin serpaes were added. the past week i have noticed that two of the silvertips have some fin damage due to what i assume to be fin nipping and i am trying to determine if it was done by the hi fin serpaes or the gouramis or ovther silver tips. for the most part, the silvers chase each other around, the hi-fins chase each other around and the male chases the female gourami around, but not too much intereaction between species except at feeding time and none of the chasing appears to be very violent.
my other concern is that i am probably pretty near to being over stocked. everyone has been fine, but i think more free swimming space would be good for every one. i am going to be moving some of the fish to another 20 gal set up that currently has a male betta in it. the betta doesn't nessisarily have to stay, but it would be nice to be able to keep maybe the silver tips with him or the serpaes, but i need help determining who is going to be happiest with which tank mates.
so how should i split up these guys to give them the happiest lives possible?
