My fish changes colour!

One of mollies changes colour from very light to extremly dark when i turn my bedroom light off and on adn when I open or close the curtains. So she basically change colour when the light in the room changes. Why is this is?
 
fish often change colors depending on mood. stress, spawning, brood care or "startle" are some of the things that can affect a color change. rapid change in lighting will cause also this.
 
A fishes color will lighten when diseased, startled or stressed, and also on most fish color will fade when they are resting or sleeping, this effectively makes them harder for predatory fish to see during resting periods.

My green barb does the same thing... pale when the light is out and dark emerald green after "morning".
