I was wondering what the average cost per month was for electric. Im looking to upgrade to a 120 gallon reef setup. I curently have a 65 gallon without a sump and running 380 watts of vho. Just looking to get a rough estimate. Thank you.

Electricity probably isn't going to be your main cost if you are upgrading to a 120 gallon reef tank. Consider the liverock, sandbed, filtration, chemicals / RO water, livestock, food, time, and patience to name a few other items.

I have priced out the items I will need to get the tank up. I was just curious what the electric bill would look like since you have to run higher wattage bulbs and I will be adding a sump. Thanks

unfortunately for me my electricity is outrageous because I live in FL and need to keep the house at 75° - 76° in order to not have my tank overheat. My tank is in the middle of a room thus no room for a chiller. :mad2:
