I just got a great deal on a 36 inch striplight. It's 192 watts with two 6700k daylight bulbs.
I'm going to put it in my 29 gallon. I just couldn't pass up a good deal like the one I got. I know that 3" will hang over each side, but I figure it's just ambient lighting for the room, right? The light I had on the tank before was just a 15 watt flourescent. It barely did anything. It didn't even light the tank fully.
My questions are....
Will the light work until I can replace the bulbs? Is 192 watts of 6700 better than a 15 watt flourescent? It's a FOWLR system.
I have a pair of indian ocean ocellaris clowns, a yellow watchman goby, and a tiger pistol shrimp. Do I need a cover for the tank, or can I use the coralife stands to hold it off of the aquarium? Will the goby try to jump out of the tank? What about the ocellaris clowns?
Let me know what you think...
