Is there any thing with gravel from lowes?

Is it okay to use river bed gravel frome home depot or lowes, if you clean it really well.

I have it one of my tanks and have no problems. Just wash it well. Saves a lot of money.

i suppose you say that you will wash it really well, but iwouldn't use it if i where you. It could be carrying harmful germs and stuff thst water can't kill. But, hey, its your choice!

I use some types...soak/wash in bleach...lots of rinses with dechlor...no problems.

I have looked at it, grain size is kinda big for live plants.

I used it in my 150, I just washed and rinsed it very well. I have not had a single problem with it. Although personally I prefer the playground sand from Lowes.
