View Full Version : pH Chart?
Often, I come home at 2 in the morning and have the desire to check my pH!! Did you ever try to get an accurate pH reading in incandescent light? It's brutal!!! My question is, is there a decent pH chart available on line, with a white background that I can hold a test tube up to and check my pH?

Do you mean that you can hold your test tube up to a monitor or to a sheet of paper that you printed out? If you are thinking of the latter I would think that might be challenging due to the variations between printers and screens. You would need to use a color matching system to get accurate colors as references.

No, I meant an actual site where I could access a color chart, but after thinking it over, I've come to the conclusion that since all monitors are different, not to mention video cards etc., that it would be inaccurate for comparison purposes.
It's frustrating trying to read them against those color charts they give you with the kits, in incandescent light at night.

I hate pH test kits for that reason..and the fact I am color blind, at least partially. How about a hand held pH tester? Milwaukee has a new one that is waterproof and the electrode is replaceable when it wears out. Its relatively cheap. I have them if you are interested

Thanks Robert, I'll check it out. Is it a digital readout? That would really be a help.

Yes, its digital, hand held, you just dip it in the water...
$52 Its not a controller, controllers are used to hook up to a C02 system
Robert, I'm not finding it on the site. I see a couple of other testers, but not pH. Where is it?
