So it finally happened to me. I had my first fish disaster. My filter leaked! My Rena FilStar XP1 poped a leak. The O-ring hardened and is no longer protecting against water leaking out. So it did exactly that. I now have water all over my carpet. I lost 1 Platy, and 1 Neon from the crazy flow of water out of the filter. They were dead on the carpet. I took off the cornner of the carpet to take a peek at the damage. The nail strip has been soaked. The edge of the carpet is as good as garbage. And so the mighty clean up begins.

Man, that's sucks. I'm sorry to hear that. I've actually heard of other people having their filstars leak there as well.
