View Full Version : a strange lump on my fish

ok my socolofi is not moving from this one spot at the top of the tank and when he didnt swim away from me like normal i knew something was wrong so i looked from above him and there is a lump right behind his right fin like there's a growth in him i have never seen this please help

Could be a few things...Possibly a tumor or some sort of ulcer...A pic is always helpful.

I think it might be an internal infection of the mussle that started froma previous cut in that area, or maybe a tumor, if it's an infection I don't know what to tell you, If it's a tumr, he will probaly live through it but may not be active or happy.

It almost looks like fish lice...It is not easy to tell from the pic...May be an injury of some sort....A close up wold be good....Have you had this fish long?

thats the best one out of about 10 pics (i hate taking pictures with cheap camera)
i ve had him for about 3 months now
it looks like his scales are coming off in that area
