I will only put the end of the python in the sump pump pit (have a special hose for this) or out a window or door. I do not trust drains.

Yikes!

I prefer to use my bathroom sink because it has a overflow drain...I also remove the sink stopper completely so it doesn't impede the flow of water.

Bah, happens to me all the time

Kids are always sticking straws and crap into the sink while I'm using the Python.

I just keep a mop handy and consider my kitchen floors pretty darn clean
