well i bought 2 females about a month and half ago and last week i bought a male and introduced him the females coloured up nicely and chased around the tank and nipping his fin and a week has gone bye and they still colour up when they see him but he goes in the opposite direction and doesnt show any colour, and then the females colour fades but 2 days ago i noticed the 2 females lip locking they only ever did it once?
shall i get another male?

what size tank is this? I'd say just give them time. I actually go lucky with mine and just got a male and female and they paired off. It took mine a few weeks so i'd just give it time and see how they do. Most likely he is going to choose one of the two females and then you might have a problem with the other.

Over the years I've had three pairs of kribs, only one pair at a time, the first two pairs really didn't pair up and kinda ignored each other. This January I had a male in my thirty gallon and saw two females in the lfs in full color and plump with eggs. I bought them and within a week one was dead, aggression or egg bound I don't know which but the females were fighting and I have read that it is best to only keep one pair in a tank unless your tank is long and well decorated. By February the male and remaining female paired up and raised a batch of fry. They aggressively guarded their fry and threatened the health of my peaceful community tank so I moved the whole family to their own 20 gallon. So in my experience, only one pair per tank, patience, and keep them alone when breeding. If you have multiple tanks, I would move one of the females to another tank and keep her in reserve in case the male refuses the first female.
