Im sure plenty could get a carried away here, so Im talking about something that you're realistically hoping to do when you have the time, money, space, divorce papers. Could be years down the line, but you're going to make it happen! Maybe some of you have your dream setup already!?
Ive just set up my first freshwater tank in years, so Im a complete newbie. My future plans for other tanks are modest, and probably years away...
Brackish fiddler crab/mudskipper tank.
100G reef tank.... not thought it through at all yet.
Im sure you all have more interesting plans.......

I'd love to have a goldfish, but I don't have the room for a tank big enough to house one right now. So that's one thing... also, I have a serious soft spot for catfish. I want another large tank for either plecos or pictus cats. And then a nice five for my betta, a ten/fifteen full of panda cories, and a twenty with miscellaneous cute things like platys and little tetras and the like. ^_^

We just fenced in our back yard for Lump, the newly adopted tortoise.
Next comes the koi pond, then I'll be served with divorce papers ;)

100+ Gallon Tank Transferring my Congos in it and builing from there. Maybe I'd even tank all my fish from my 55 and make the 55 a Dwarf Puffer Tank :D
Imagine 18 Dwarf Puffers chillin' in such a huge tank :D

I am working on mine. A 75 gallon densely planted tank with CO2, aquascaped for a pair each of 2 species of dwarf cichlids, a mated pair of angels, monti swords (probably not all at the same time, but one can dream)
I have the tank, empty for now, and I'm working on the oak covered stand now. I want to do this tank right so I don't have a projected finish time. I'm just going to keep gathering the stuff I need for it untill I have what I want. No halfway setups here.

150 Gallon Brackish Tank (72x18x28)
Inhabitants:
5 Archerfish
Puffers if possible
Best part: Its going to be a vivarium! Tank filled half way. Land on the top half. I will put an unlimited amount of crickets for the Archers to 'shoot' and eat. Its gonna be sooo cool :D

55-75g with a Jack Dempsey. My dad had one and I was always fascinated with it before I got into keeping fish. I'd also really like to have a 125g Reef tank.

The 40 gallon that's empty in my garage, medium platend with some driftwood. 2 nice nice sized schools of tetra's some cories and a pair of bolivian Rams. So close yet out of reach.......
I would like to have a FOWLR tank setup for 3 or 4 yellowheaded jawfish. Not sure what size it would need to be, havn't researched it at this point, since it's not likely to happen any time soon.
I would also like a nicely planted discus tank with 4 or 5 discus and a few blue rams and small cories for tankmates. Probably would have to be at least a 75 for that mix.
If I got rid of ALL of my other tanks and just had those two, I could probably be very happy.... :D
300 gallon DENSLY planted and full of colorful cichlids.

A 300 gallon tank.
5 sword tails, 4 angles, 9 cory's, 2 bush nose pleco's, 13 flame tetra's, 13 blue tetra's and a whole lot of plants. I would have to really see it to see how much more I could stock. I plan on having this within 5 years.
Another 300 gallon tank. 2 Oscars, 2 pearl cichlids, and 1 large pleco. This will be in 7 years.
Divorce papers  .... I wasn't into fish when I met my wife. She isn't thrilled. She is afraid of being "the weird people with all of the fish."

An island near the equator. I would go out in my small boat and throw fish food out and stare at all the fishies. Also, I could go scuba diving but my fat *** wouldn't look right in those suits. Eventually, all the small fish that I attracted will bring a shark. The shark would tip the boat then I'd fall out. Oh no the shark brought friends and they take both my legs. I manage to swim to shore but I die a long and painful death. That's how I saved the U.S. from Osama Bin Laden Googoogachoo. :shark: :joe: :duh:

Ugh- money sucks. Always has and always will. My immediate future plan is to get a nice 29 or 306 tank for my baby Parrot. He's small at 3.5" in a 10g right now but by Christmas he WILL be in a much larger tank. They grow slowly so by the time it gets done he will be fine. I take care of him like I would a jewel. :)
Again money sucks. I'd house all my Bettas in 100g tanks if I could.

My dream tank is in the wall of my dream home (hope to start building in the next few years). The tank would be about 5 feet tall (knee height to just over most people's heads) and 15 feet across (I expect the wall to be about 25' long allowing for a few feet on each side of the doorway).
As for depth, I'm not quite sure. As it will be a reef tank, I expect I'd want it at least three feet deep. This would bring the total volume to around 225 cubic feet or 1683 gallons.
The tour begins in the main entryway which has a tile area just inside the door for taking off shoes and hanging coats. Beyond the tile is lush carpet with a sitting area and a view out the back into the enclosed patio and pool.
The aquarium is in the wall on your right and stretches from one end to the door way on the other.
As you walk through the doorway on one end of the wall you see a four foot long hallway with a "closet" door on the aquarium side. This is to access the inner workings of the reef system.
Note: Both ends of the hallway have pocket doors which slide closed for both privacy and noise.
On the other side of the short hallway you step into a formal dining room.
What do you think?

My hubby has already started talking about building a bigger tank...something in the 20,000 gallon range...but to do this, we need to excavate and add on to our house....I'm waiting on the lottery, to to discover I was the favorite long-lost niece of that rich uncle....
just proves that bigger is never enough..... ;)
