so i followed the instructed process of claning the mocrofiber water pollishing filter in a solution of 3 parts water to 1 part clorox, and soked it over night. i rinsed the thing for about an hour in clean water, but it still faintly smells of clorox
wtf? is there a special way inwhich this thinggy should be rinsed?

Put it a bucket of water with dechlorinator used at double strength. Let it soak for an hour.

cold water ! cold water will get rid of the bleach . iam a cook and we wash the
plates with bleach. And to get it out we use cold water . i do the same for my
filters . :joke:

this thing still smells (very faintly) of bleach. i have literally washed it out through 150gallons of water for like 5 hours. i feel like an idiot, what am i doing wrong/

Let it sit over night or longer in some fresh water with declorinator in it. Chlorine will naturally evaporate leaving your filter ready to reuse. Buy some extras so you have one ready to go while you clean the dirty ones.
