Is there any way to test the Chlorine in the water.
I recently dumped 8oz of bleach in my 10G QT. I let it run for a few hours, then emptied it, rinsed it and filled it up with water and 5x dose of declorinator. I let that run overnight, and then rinsed and repeated the whole declorinating process again for another day.
I rinsed and repeated last night and I think the tank is void of all bleash as it does not smell and the fact that I treated it two days with declorinator.
Is there any way to test and confirm the absence of chlorine? I remember reading somewhere that clorine can show up as NO3..any truth in that?
I want to make sure that all chlorine is gone before I dump a new load of fish in the QT.
Thanks
P.S. the QT will be instantly cycled by a sponge filter from the main tank
