:hi: Hi all,
I have a problem with strong water flow in my 12g JBJ nanocube (Powerhead 106 GPH). I just bought the fish, 1 full size dwarf gourami, 2 full size silver mollies, and 1 very young and small tiger barb. The gourami is fine, but the mollies are having some difficulty swimming against the current/away from the filter's water input vent, and my poor little tiger can hardly swim at all. He can only get a few inches away from the intake vent  They are swimming very hard to get around, and I'm afraid they will die from this. Another member suggested that I put a prefilter sponge in the output side of the powerhead. What I did was cut a strip of a filter sponge and wrap it arount the outside of the nozzle that flows water back into the tank. This seemed to help with the swimming problem, but now I don't feel much of any current going through and I'm afraid the water won't get filtered with such a weak flow. :thud: I'm also worried about causing an unlevel water surface with more water in the front of the tank than in the back filter system. If anyone has some suggestions about what I should do, I would appreciate it very much. Thanks for reading this!
