So I had a sick fish which I had to treat with antibiotics that turned the water very yellowy green. Ever since I have done this my plants have not been getting enough light and dying which is lowering my pH drastically. My question is can I be changing a third of the water every day? I really want my water to be clear so the plants can get enough light. Any help on this would be appreciated thanx.

Have you tried using some carbon in the filter? Carbon will help clear the water.

Allright thanks, I do have carbon in my filters but it isn't doing the job. I think I will just change the water

Carbon is only effective for a couple of weeks at best, after that it is only useful for harboring benificial bacteria. You may want to go and get some fresh carbon.

Ok I switched the carbon in the filter and did a one third water change hopefully those plants will start to grow like they did before.

hey 1/3 of the water a day? dang i thought i did lots of water changes :)
