Im going to set up a 125 gal tank at my office, I have a few questions
I want my water turn over to be 4-5 times an hour, I will build a wet-dry filter using a large rubber maid container as a sump and 2 5 gal buckets to hold bio-balls or perhaps those ceramic "marbles" that Eheim sells, what is a good quiet pump ?
The tank will have a footprint of 72 X 24. I would like to have a power head in the tank that I can use to direct current so feces and other stuff will get blown into a corner for easy removal, what are some good power heads.
I am thinking about using sand instead of pee gravel, is it harder to keep clean? When I vacuum it with a python, is it easy to suck the sand down the drain?
I’m planning on a "native" theme tank with long ear sunfish and sail fin shiners I will have a "cover" area in the middle with lots of plants and drift wood in the middle (I will hide the power heads and the sump out flow) with more bare areas at the outside.
I welcome any advice and constructive criticisms
Thanks
