would 1 dwarf gourami be okay in a 10 gall tank with 4 head&tail light tetras, 1 serpae, and 1 cory? I dont want to take back any of the fish i have now because they seem to do very well together. Im just looking to try and get some color in my tank. Thanks for the input!

Personally, I wouldn't put any more fish in that tank. Some here will disagree with that.

guppies have many different kinds of colors, especially if you can get your hands on some moscows and in my experiences do well with many tankmates

im just trying to stay away from guppies because there best in groups and i dont want them multiplying on me lol

The biggest thing I see is that the serpae and cory should be in schools too. Personally, (I know you didn't want this) I would take the serpae back, get 3 more cory's and then add a dwarf gourami. That would be a full tank.
